Jen & Ian

Ian and Jen got hitched last weekend on the most gorgeous sunny Saturday! And I have to say it was the most unique and individual wedding I've ever been to! The day was packed with personal touches that really reflected their personalities and their life together.

They live on a canal barge (called Maya) which is normally moored near Wigan, but Jen's family home is a farm in Little Hoole - so that's where the day started, and where I joined her as she was getting ready. She then travelled in the Wedding car (a vintage land rover!) to Rufford Old Hall, where Ian was waiting with all the guests, to have a beautiful (and a little tearful) ceremony.

After a little mingling and catching up with friends and a few photos, we all then headed up the road to 'The Ship', which is on the side of the canal near Burscough, where Maya was waiting. There they had a super chilled out reception, with a tasty buffet and an awesome wedding cake made especially for them!

After a couple of hours of chilling in the sunshine all the guests then came up onto the side of the canal, where Ian was waiting with their Barge, and watched as Jen joined him and they sailed away and off on to their six month honeymoon!!

Doesn't that sound amazing? Here's a few shots from the day, starting at the farm first thing......

fab boots!.....

Jen wore a blue silk dress! I love it when a bride isn't afraid to be different.....

time to do a bit of work...

and off they went!....

Congratulations to Ian and Jen! I hope you have a fantastic six months, and thanks for a great day - I'm sure your guests will remember it forever x
